COVID-19: SABAH RECORDS 303 NEW CASES, THREE DEATHS

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 303 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the tally of cumulative positive cases in the state to 38,172.


Of the new cases, Kota Kinabalu recorded the highest number with 64 cases, followed by Tawau (47), Lahad Datu (39), Penampang (31), Sipitang (22), Papar (19), Sandakan (16), Putatan (14) and Kota Belud (10).


Other districts that recorded a single digit new daily cases include Pitas with 9 cases, Keningau (8), Kinabatangan (6) as well as Kota Marudu, Tuaran, Ranau and Kalabakan each with three cases.


Semporna and Tongod each recorded two cases, while Beaufort and Kunak each recorded one case.


In his statement today, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said three more fatalities have been recorded today, each in Tawau, Keningau and Lahad Datu.


"Today, a total of 147 patients have recovered and were discharged from the hospital, bringing the total of recovered patients in the state to 35,530.


"A total of 1,971 patients are still receiving treatment with 665 of them in the hospital and the rest in quarantine centres.


"Fifty-two patients are treated in the intensive care unit, with 52 of them requiring ventilator support," he said.
