DIDA Secures Landslide Victory in Bingkor

KENINGSU: With a majority of 5,427 votes, Datuk Ishak Datuk Ayub (DIDA) of STAR Sabah conquered the N.40 Bingkor state seat, defeating nine other challengers.

Upon being declared the winner, DIDA expressed his deepest gratitude to the people of Bingkor for their strong support throughout the campaign and on polling day.

“This is a victory for the people of Bingkor. Your trust and commitment have been the main driving force behind this success,” he said.

He emphasised that this victory was born from the people themselves and is not merely a tally of votes, but a symbol of confidence in orderly, inclusive, and action-based development.

DIDA also expressed appreciation to his parents for their blessings, as well as to supporters, party workers, including family members, relatives, friends, and the campaign machinery who never ceased giving encouragement from the beginning until the end of the campaign.

Ishak won in convincing fashion with 9,346 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Rafie Datuk Robert of GRS, who secured 3,919 votes.

The 5,427-vote majority is one of the most impressive and solid victories in the 17th Sabah state election.

DIDA called on the people to continue working together to develop Bingkor through groundwork, community participation, and active youth involvement.
