EMCO IN FIVE LOCALITIES IN TAWAU, ONE IN LAHAD DATU AND KUDAT

KOTA KINABALU: A total of five localities in Tawau, as well as one each in Lahad Datu, and Kudat will be placed under a 14-day enhanced movement control order (EMCO) starting Wednesday (9 June) until 22 June.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said in Tawau, the localities involved are Kampung Tanjung Batu Darat, Taman Apas Permai, Bandar Sri Indah, Taman Megah Jaya and Jalan Budi, Sri Tanjung.
“All five localities have a staggering cumulative total of 88 cases,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, in Lahad Datu the locality that will placed under EMCO is Taman Perdana with eight positive cases recorded out of 66 screening tests conducted.
“In Kudat, the locality that will also be placed under EMCO is Kampung Narandang where the cumulative total is 16 cases.
Masidi added the decision to impose EMCO on these localities was made after a joint risk assessment with various agencies from the MCO Technical Committee and on the advice of the Ministry of Health.
