EMCO IN KAMPUNG TANAH MERAH, KOTA MARUDU EXTENDED UNTIL MARCH 22

KOTA KINABALU: The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in Kampung Tanah Merah, Kota Marudu which supposedly ends tomorrow will be extended for two more weeks.
The order will take effect starting March 9 until March 22, said Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.
"As of today, a total of 319 screening tests have been conducted and of the total, 26 tested positive for Covid-19. "The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that there are a total of 181 test samples pending result and positive cases are still being reported in the locality," he said in a statement today. "After conducting a risk assessment with various agencies in the MCO Technical Committee and upon the advice of MOH, the State Government had agreed to extend the EMCO in Kampung Tanah Merah, Kota Marudu starting March 9 to March 22."
