KOTA KINABALU: A three-day programme on woman empowerment will be held on March 31 to April 2 at Zara's Boutique Hotel in Harbour City, Kota Kinabalu.
The programme is organised by Primal X Sdn Bhd with the Women at Work (W@W) Leadership Masterclass 2.0.
Sabah-based trainer and Primal X Founder Marianne Kiob, the lead facilitator, said the programme targeted 20 participants, especially women in managerial positions.
According to her, they are from both the government and private sectors with various industries.
"We are sure that they will benefit greatly from the programme as we have seen the results from our previous programmes," she stressed.
Another speaker Adelina Adna, will be presenting a talk on how to overcome self doubt and external barriers.
This include speaking on building confidence through gradual process, persistence and patience.
May Salitah, another speaker, will speak on "Walk and Talk with Confidence" segment designed to help participants master body language, posture, and vocal impact.
Through practical exercises, individuals learn how to project confidence both in personal and professional settings, enhancing their presence and communication skills. This immersive experience aims to empower attendees to feel more self-assured and commanding in any situation.
Zara’s Boutique Hotel owner and host Datuk Eliza Goh said she supported such programmes as she believes it could contribute to women's empowerment.
"these programmes foster a culture where women feel confident, authentic, and visible. They promote self-empowerment, encourage women to own their space, and support the development of leadership qualities."
She said that one of her staff had participated in a previous programme and showed tremendous performance and leadership afterwards.
By investing in their personal growth, women can contribute more effectively to their workplaces, driving diversity and inclusion forward, she said.
