Ewon allocated RM50,000 to PGCC

PENAMPANG: A special allocation of RM50,000 was given to the Penampang Countryside Golfers Club (PGCC) by

Penampang Member of Parliament, Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Ewon who is also the Patron of PGCC, said the contribution is to assist in funding golf sports development programmes, including organising golf clinics for the people of Penampang.

"In my capacity as the Member of Parliament for Penampang, I am allocating my special allocation of RM50,000 to this club.

"Last year, I allocated RM30,000 from my special allocation to PGCC.

"I also support the club's vision to have its own golf course and will assist in any way possible to support this vision," he said.

The contribution was presented at a brief ceremony at the Sabah Golf & Country Club here today.

PGCC members also held a friendly competition in conjunction with the club's annual general meeting.

Also present was PGCC President, Datuk Philip Lasimbang.
