KOTA BELUD: Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Ewon Benedick presented a donation of RM255,000 from the minister's special allocation to nine villages in the Kadamaian area.
Ewon, who is also the State Assemblyman for Kadamaian, said the allocation was channeled through the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) associations and bodies.
"This contribution is to assist the JKKK in managing village development and to help associations carry out their community activities.
"I hope this donation can help alleviate the financial burden of the JKKK bodies and associations to implement programmes and activities that have been planned for the benefit of the village residents," he said.
He said this after presenting the donation at the Kadamaian Assemblyman Service Office here yesterday.
The recipients of the donations are the Nahaba Tegudon Women's Residents' Association receiving RM5,000, the Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) of SMK Narinang receiving RM50,000, and the Kiau Village Sports and Recreation Club receiving RM15,000.

Muneh Sikin, representing USTO, mentioned that the donation would fund the construction of the association's shop in Pekan Kota Belud.
