KOTA KINABALU: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital celebrated a truly special occasion with the birth of five babies on 31 August 2025, coinciding with Malaysia’s 68th National Day and Sabah Day. The joyous arrivals not only brought happiness to their families but also added festive cheer to the hospital’s Merdeka celebrations.

Of the five newborns, three were girls and two were boys, all safely delivered by the hospital’s resident consultant obstetricians and gynaecologists, Dr Norafidah Ahmad, Dr Nuraini Sukarna and Dr Naumi Laboh.

To mark the significance of the day, the hospital presented commemorative gifts to each family as a gesture of appreciation and in celebration of both National Day and Sabah Day.
