KOTA KINABALU: PBS Luyang Division visited Kampung Kopungit, adjacent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital I here, to distribute food baskets in celebration of Ramadan.

The visit was led by Goon Thien Shang, the Special Officer for Chinese Affairs to the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Works and Public Utilities, who personally handed over the food hampers to members of the Muslim community.

This gesture exemplified the spirit of harmony that underpins Sabah’s multicultural society.

Goon expressed his hope that such grassroots charitable initiatives would continue to foster stronger ties and mutual understanding among the various ethnic communities.

He emphasised that these actions help to ensure that Sabah’s proud tradition of diversity and harmony remains robust and preserved.
