Health Awareness Week to Empower the Public Towards Healthier Living

KENINGAU: The Health Awareness Week programme will take place from 6 to 11 October 2025, featuring both online and in-person sessions covering various health topics for the general public.


Carrying the theme “Health Belongs to Everyone”, the event is organised in collaboration with several local doctors and health professionals, including Dr Oliver Dean John Gitang, Dr Kebrain Kaliun, Dr Mark Collin Galantas, Adela Marie Ukau, Edna Magdalene John Gitang, and Doreen Lim.


The online sessions will be conducted via Zoom from 6 to 9 October, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.


Among the topics to be featured are Water – The Simple Secret to Better Health, Sweet Smile – Healthy Mind, Sunlight – Nature’s Wonder, Food as Medicine, Health at the Right Time, and The Mind-Body Connection.


The in-person sessions are scheduled for 10 October (7.30 pm– 8.30 pm) and 11 October (2.30 pm – 4pm) at the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Keningau Town.


The programme coordinators, Elder Donny Maijar, Mrs Dorothea Onong, Mrs Melissa Gagah, and Mrs Lea Lewas, will oversee the event to ensure smooth implementation and meaningful benefits for the community.


The public is invited to participate and take the opportunity to enhance their health knowledge for better collective well-being.
