Kent Teachers’ College Alumni Reunion Open to All Former Trainees

KENINGAU: The Kent Teachers’ College Alumni Reunion, to be held on 26 September 2026 at Bandukan Riverside Resort Park here, is open to all former trainees of the institution regardless of year of study.

The event’s organising chair, Yazid Mohd Hasnan Tawik @ Charles, said the date and venue remain as previously announced, while participation has now been extended to the entire Kent alumni community.

He acknowledged confusion caused by the early publicity using the name “Reunion Kent 1979–1985” and apologised for any misunderstanding.

“The reference to 1979–1985 was intended only to acknowledge the initial organising group who sparked the idea for this event.

“However, we wish to stress that the reunion is not limited to alumni from that period; it is open to all former trainees of Kent Teachers’ College from every generation,” he said in a statement today.

Accordingly, the committee will rename the event ‘Kent Teachers’ College Alumni Reunion’ to reflect the spirit of inclusivity, unity and togetherness among the college’s alumni.

He added that the reunion is expected to provide an ideal platform to bring former trainees together, strengthen bonds and reminisce about their time at Kent Teachers’ College.

“We also hope the event will reinforce long-standing friendships and revive the family spirit of the Kent community."

“We invite and warmly welcome all former Kent trainees from across the country to join us in making this historic gathering a success,” he said.
