Laeizo FC Represents Liawan in Kota Kinabalu at TABS Sabah Carnival

KOTA KINABALU: Laeizo FC, a football academy team from Keningau, proudly represented the Liawan state constituency at the Tunas Asas Bolasepak (TABS) Sabah Invitational Carnival, held in the state capital on 28 and 29 June.

The team's participation was strongly supported by the N.41 Liawan Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM), which provided funding to cover travel and logistical expenses throughout the tournament.

“We are truly grateful for the assistance provided, especially as it gave our young players the opportunity to gain valuable experience competing at the state level,” said a Laeizo FC representative.

The team also extended their appreciation to Liawan Assemblyman Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, Asroy Ruddy, the players’ parents, and the coaching staff for their unwavering commitment and support.

The tournament brought together grassroots teams from across Sabah and saw Laeizo FC display commendable sportsmanship, providing early exposure for promising young talent from Liawan.

It is understood that the upcoming Aura Empat Penjuru tournament, expected to take place in August, is drawing increasing attention, with speculation that a team from Labuan may join this year’s edition.
