KENINGAU: The swift action of a leader to meet constituents in dire need of attention is always highly commended.
In this case, Assistant Minister of Finance and Bingkor assemblyman, Datuk Sr. Mohd Ishak Ayub, swiftly went to visit Kampung Baginda Ulu and Baginda Laut after receiving a report about a dilapidated house and an ailing elderly resident.
The report came from Mohd Asmawi Said, head of the Baginda STAR Polling District Centre.
Without delay Mohd Ishak inspected the rundown home and met the sick senior occupant directly on-site, with a view to rectify the conditions.
There was no fanfare and no formal ceremony took place, just a simple conversation between the leader and the villager.
The visit underscores hands-on leadership in Bingkor, echoing the style of his father, former Berjaya-era State Assemblyman Datuk Ayub Aman, known for frequent village outreach.
Villagers value such personal engagement as a sign of genuine respect.
This approach preserves core values: listening, presence, and action. For Baginda residents, it ensures their concerns bypass bureaucracy and reach decision-makers.
