KENINGAU: The Lions Club of Keningau Downtown has continued its charitable outreach by donating food supplies to the family of a bedridden patient at Queen Elizabeth Hospital I in Kota Kinabalu.

The club, led by its president Lim Siew Jong, presented essential household items to Doren Mathew, the caregiver of his brother, Jaffrine Mathew, who has been bedridden due to illness.

The donation was received with deep appreciation by the patient’s family, who expressed their gratitude for the club’s thoughtfulness and concern.

Family representative Emelia Gitang said the visit meant a great deal to them and provided much-needed encouragement during a difficult time.

“We are truly touched by the visit and the contribution. Our heartfelt thanks to the Lions Club of Keningau for their kindness and moral support,” she said.

Lim said the contribution formed part of the Lions Club’s ongoing social responsibility initiatives, aimed at helping those in need while promoting compassion and empathy within the community.

“This effort is not only about providing material aid but also about offering hope and strength, showing that even in hardship, there are always caring hands willing to help,” she added.
