MPS Urged to Upgrade Security Measures around Market

SANDAKAN: Member of Parliament Vivian Wong Shir Yee urged the Sandakan Municipal Council ( MPS) to strengthen security measures, including providing night-time security around the Market.


This advised came after she inspected a break in at the stalls there.


The issue reported on Monday, prompt her to carry out the inspection accompanied by Coordinating Officer Tang Szu Ching and her service team.

Officers from the Royal Malaysia Police were also present at the location to carry out further investigations.


Vivian expressed hope that those involved in the criminal act would be identified and apprehended swiftly.


As an immediate measure, her team also assisted in repairing damaged cabinets at the affected market stalls during the visit.
