KOTA KINABALU: The Oil & Gas Services and Equipment Conference & Exhibition Sabah 2026 (OGSE Sabah 2026) will be held from 4 to 6 June 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC),

This exhibition offers a vital platform to champion the “Greater Participation” of local companies within Sabah’s oil and gas sector.

This initiative aligns with efforts to strengthen local content, boost competitiveness, and position Sabah-based companies at the forefront of an industry that is becoming increasingly advanced and technology-driven.

It is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Transport Sabah (MINDET), the Sabah Oil & Gas Services Council (SOGSC), and the Sabah Bumiputera Petroleum Contractors Association (PKPBS), with support from key state agencies like SMJ Energy and other strategic partners.

OGSE Sabah 2026 is anticipated to draw over 5,000 local and international visitors and will feature around 200 exhibitors spanning the entire oil and gas value chain.

A core aim of the event is to foster policy alignment between the State Government, petroleum operators, and industry stakeholders, in support of local content initiatives.

It also seeks to position Sabah as a sustainable, competitive, and investor-friendly hub for energy development—especially in downstream industries and support services for oil and gas.

Moreover, OGSE Sabah 2026 will showcase the technical capabilities and readiness of local OGSE companies to both petroleum operators and global investors.

The event will serve as a platform for industry dialogue, contributing to the development of the Sabah OGSE Five-Year Roadmap (2026–2030), which focuses on capacity building, strategic partnerships, and market expansion for local businesses.

A key focus is also placed on human capital development, introducing young people and students to career opportunities and entrepreneurial prospects within the oil and gas industry through career exhibitions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and talent matching programmes.

MINDET remains dedicated to creating an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable energy ecosystem in Sabah , advancing the “Sabah First” agenda, which prioritises local participation across the entire industry value chain.

This strategy aims to nurture more capable OGSE entrepreneurs with advanced technical skills, expand local companies’ contract opportunities, and generate high-quality jobs for Sabahans, ensuring that the benefits of oil and gas contribute to sustainable, inclusive economic growth for the state.
