Plaza 333 Spring Festive Bazaar 2026 opens in Conjunction with Chinese New Year

PENAMPANG: The Plaza 333 Spring Festive Bazaar 2026 was officially launched yesterday in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.

Sabah Deputy Chief Minister III and Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport, Datuk Ewon Benedick launched the event which was enlivened by dragon and lion dance performances and drew visitors from various communities, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere at Plaza 333.

Ewon said the organisation of the bazaar reflected the commitment of Plaza 333’s management to providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to market their products and generate income, particularly during the festive season.

“A total of 40 stalls have been set up, and the bazaar will continue until tomorrow evening (today).

“Initiatives such as this are highly commendable as they provide space and opportunities for small and medium-scale entrepreneurs to conduct business in a conducive environment,” he said.

According to him, programmes of this nature not only add to the festive cheer of Chinese New Year celebrations but also contribute to strengthening local economic activities.

During the event, Ewon also took time to engage with several participating entrepreneurs and purchased products on sale as a show of support for their businesses.
