PENAMPANG: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) will be holding its convention on August 10th this year.

After an UPKO Executive Meeting, today, its President Datuk Ewon Benedick announced that the convention will be preceded by the 30th anniversary celebration of UPKO's inception on August 9th.

“The party has proposed inviting our esteemed Prime Minister, Datuk Anwar Ibrahim, who serves as the chairman of Pakatan Harapan, to deliver the keynote address during the event,” he said.

UPKO, a multi-racial party, has been an integral part of the Pakatan Harapan coalition since August 2021. This convention provides an excellent platform for UPKO to showcase its commitment to inclusive politics and its dedication to serving the people.

The convention will bring together UPKO members, delegates from across Sabah, and representatives from Pakatan Harapan Sabah component parties. It will be a momentous occasion for networking, sharing ideas, and strengthening the party's vision for the future.
