KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor received a courtesy visit from Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, at Menara Kinabalu on Tuesday.
The meeting addressed fuel supplies in Sabah, particularly petrol and diesel, amid concerns over potential shortages that could impact consumers and the state's economic sectors.
Armizan assured that the Federal Government, through his ministry, is implementing proactive measures to maintain sufficient and stable fuel supplies in Sabah.
He added that close monitoring and coordination with relevant agencies will be intensified to avert disruptions, especially in rural areas and critical sectors.
The Chief Minister, meanwhile, stressed the vital need for consistent fuel supplies to underpin Sabah's economy, including logistics, fisheries, and agriculture, which depend heavily on diesel.
Earlier, the Chief Minister hosted Chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Tan Sri Mohd Salim Fateh Din, who updated him on the National Digital Network Plan (JENDELA) rollout in Sabah and the Kota Kinabalu City Hall Smart City (DBKK Smart City) initiative.
Also present were State Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk James Ratib; MCMC member General (Rtd) Tan Sri Dr Zulkifeli Mohd Zin; and senior commission officials.
