Public Toilets sited at Tanah Merah Market for Traders and Visitors

SANDAKAN: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Karamunting Division Chief, Datuk George Hiew Vun Zin, has once again demonstrated his concern for the people’s wellbeing by visiting the Tanah Merah Market in Karamunting to inspect conditions faced by traders and assess the state of public facilities in the area.

During the visit, George spent time engaging with traders, listening to their views and suggestions on improving the environment at the temporary market.

Among the immediate measures implemented was the provision of temporary public toilets for the convenience of traders and visitors, following complaints about the poor condition of existing facilities.

“I truly appreciate the traders who shared their views and feedback openly. All complaints will be reviewed, and action will be taken to ensure the comfort of the people and the continued progress of the Karamunting constituency,” he said.

Many traders expressed gratitude for George’s attentiveness, describing him as a leader who fulfils his promises and consistently goes to the ground to monitor local issues.

Tanah Merah Market has become a focal point for the local community, attracting visitors purchasing seafood, vegetables, and daily necessities, with conditions now more comfortable thanks to the public facility upgrades carried out.
