KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah DAP Women’s Wing expresses its full support for the statement made by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah Women’s Chief and DAP Sabah Vice Chairperson, Datuk Jannie Lasimbang, regarding the “6-3-3” plan, which features 12 women candidates from PH Sabah for the upcoming State Election (PRN).

This initiative is the result of two years of continuous effort involving preparation, training, and grassroots programmes to ensure that women candidates are truly ready. It demonstrates PH Sabah’s strong commitment to fulfilling the 30% women’s participation target in politics, while strengthening its prospects of forming an inclusive and credible state government.

As the Sabah DAP Women’s Chief, I firmly believe that active participation of women in politics is not merely about meeting quotas, but about enriching public policy discourse with broader perspectives , emphasising family wellbeing, education, health, safety, and sustainable development.

With regard to the recent decision by Liau Fui Fui and her branch, Sabah DAP Women respects her decision and acknowledges her contributions to the party’s struggle over the years.

'Nonetheless, this development serves as a motivation for Sabah DAP Women to work even harder and with greater spirit to strengthen the party. We believe that every challenge presents an opportunity to build resilience, reinforce unity, and renew our determination to serve."

Sabah DAP Women remain steadfast and united in championing the principles of justice, inclusivity, and the wellbeing of the people.

"We will continue to strengthen women’s leadership at all levels to ensure that women’s voices and roles remain central in shaping a fairer, more progressive, and prosperous future for Sabah."
