KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM) Travel Fair 2025, a key event aimed at promoting tourism both domestically and internationally, will be officially launched by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Seri Christina Liew, on 23 August at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).

The three-day fair, taking place from 22 to 24 August, is organised by the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA) Sabah Chapter, under the leadership of Chairman Vincent Sia.

In a recent courtesy call, Sia briefed the Minister on preparations for the highly anticipated event, which serves as a premier platform to showcase a wide range of travel products and services. The fair will focus on enhancing domestic tourism, attracting international visitors, and highlighting community-based tourism initiatives across Sabah.

“This event presents a valuable opportunity for tourism industry players to network, collaborate and showcase the best of what Sabah and Malaysia have to offer,” said Liew. “I look forward to seeing even greater participation from our local travel and hospitality sectors.”

With its strategic location and growing reputation as a tourism hub, Sabah continues to play a pivotal role in positioning Malaysia as a top travel destination in the region.
