TAWAU: Sawit Kinabalu Farm Products Sdn. Bhd. (SKFP), a subsidiary of the Sawit Kinabalu Group, remains committed to meeting market demand for sacrificial cattle and fresh, halal beef products across Sabah in conjunction with Aidiladha this year.

The Chairman of the Sawit Kinabalu Group, Datuk Hazem Mubarak Tun Musa, together with the company’s management, during a working visit to several Sawit Kinabalu operational units in Tawau on 6 April, emphasised:

“The company will continue to strive to support the security of livestock and food supply, particularly in meeting domestic needs, in line with the Government’s aspiration to strengthen the agro-food sector, despite existing demand from overseas,” he said.

As of 2025, SKFP recorded highly encouraging operational performance, with cattle sales increasing by 65.7%, equivalent to more than 4,600 head. This achievement was driven by a significant rise in sales volume, supported by more competitive and favourable market prices.

In its efforts to strengthen the livestock industry, SKFP has also actively diversified its cattle breeds. Among those reared are Brahman, Brangus, Simmental Cross and Wagyu Cross, with the total herd exceeding 10,000 head as of March this year.

In anticipation of the upcoming Aidiladha celebration, SKFP is intensifying its sacrificial cattle sales initiatives for the public, offering reasonably priced cattle starting from as low as RM5,600 per head. Bookings are now open, and the public is encouraged to place early orders to ensure the availability of quality cattle that meet the requirements for the sacrificial rite.
