SK Kiau Celebrates Children and Family Day, and Christmas 2024

KOTA BELUD: The Children's Day, Family Day, and Christmas celebration at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kiau Kota Belud was a delightful event held on Friday, December 13. Organised by the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), the festivities attracted over 300 attendees.
The programme featured a wide array of engaging activities, including karaoke competitions for classes and parents, a fashion show showcasing preschool and kindergarten children, sports games, storytelling sessions, dance performances, and a lucky draw. Each activity was met with enthusiasm from participants and spectators alike, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
Edward Kabun, the President of PIBG SK Kiau, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their unwavering support. In his speech, he emphasised the significance of such events, not only to celebrate the students but also to foster stronger relationships between parents and teachers.
“The support of parents is vital for the success of programs like this. We aim to build robust connections that contribute to the educational development of our children,” he remarked.
Jaenry Sinteh, the Principal of SK Kiau, also expressed his delight at the active involvement of everyone, including students from preschool and kindergarten levels.
“I am incredibly proud of the efforts and dedication of all participants. This collaborative spirit showcases our commitment to nurturing the school community,” Jaenry stated.
Jumiyati Chaco, the Assistant Director of Education for School Management in Kota Belud, who officiated the event, commended the familial spirit and strong cooperation displayed throughout the celebration.
“This event exemplifies how education can be enriched through solid community relationships. I believe this spirit should continue for the benefit of all,” Jumiyati affirmed.
The organisation of this event not only brought joy to all who attended but also demonstrated the school and PIBG's ability to unite diverse groups through shared values and a commitment to unity. The activities highlighted a culture of collaboration that can serve as an example for other schools.
