Spritzer Becomes Malaysia’s First Bottled Water Brand to Achieve NSF Beverage Quality Certification

KUALA LUMPUR: NSF, a global leader in protecting human health, has awarded its first accredited certification for bottled water and beverages in Malaysia to Spritzer, one of the country’s foremost bottled water brands. Spritzer received certification from the ANSI-Accredited Product Certification Body – Accreditation number 0216, covering three product lines: Natural Mineral Water, Distilled Drinking Water, and Sparkling Carbonated Natural Mineral Water.

“With this milestone, NSF is expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, supporting more businesses in upholding high standards of quality and safety,” said Sutida Ketudut, Managing Director of NSF APAC. “NSF’s Bottled Water and Packaged Ice certifications help brands stand out in a competitive market while providing consumers with a trusted, verified drinking water option.”

NSF developed a comprehensive Bottled Water Certification programme, the only accredited scheme offering microbiological, chemical, and radiological analyses in accordance with international standards and regulations.

Certified Spritzer products now carry the official NSF certification mark and are listed on the NSF website, making it easier for consumers and retailers to identify verified, quality products. This certification also extends to Spritzer’s international brand, ACILIS by Spritzer, exported across Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. Since its founding in 1989, Spritzer has established itself as Malaysia’s leading natural mineral water brand, built on decades of water stewardship, quality excellence, and responsible manufacturing.

NSF, an ANSI-accredited organisation, independently verifies that products meet global safety standards through detailed product and facility assessments. Its standards align with those set by other recognised safety and quality organisations, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US FDA).
