STAR Sabah Bingkor Offers Support to MAKSUR Keningau Athletes

KENINGAU : The morale of local athletes was boosted by a contribution by Parti Solidariti Tanah AirKu (STAR Sabah), Bingkor division to the Keningau branch of the Sports and Recreation Welfare Council (MAKSUR).

The athletes will represent Sabah at the upcoming National-Level Inter-Agency Games in Penang this August.

The contribution was handed over by Yazid Mohd Hasnan Tawik Mansai @ Charles, Permanent Chairman of STAR Sabah Bingkor, to Rapiah Saidin, Chairperson of MAKSUR Keningau, in a simple yet meaningful ceremony.

"We hope this contribution serves as a source of encouragement for the contingent to achieve success and bring pride to the Keningau district," said Yazid with enthusiasm.

The sporting event, scheduled to take place from 13 to 16 August 2025, is organised under the auspices of the Sabah Department of Social Welfare Services, and will feature a variety of events including football, netball, volleyball, sepak takraw, badminton, table tennis, and carrom.

This gesture is not only a symbol of community support for the development of sports but also reflects a spirit of unity in raising Sabah’s profile on the national stage.
