KOTA KINABALU: STARSABAH has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Haji Noor on his reappointment as Chief Minister of Sabah, affirming full respect for the mandate given by the people.

In a statement today, STARSABAH President Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey G. Kitingan said the outcome of the democratic process reflects the aspirations and collective voice of Sabahans.

“The people have spoken, and we accept their decision with utmost respect. The democratic process has once again demonstrated the hopes and wishes of our citizens,” he said.

Dr Jeffrey also conveyed deep gratitude to supporters across the state, with special appreciation to the voters of Tambunan and Bingkor for renewing their trust in STARSABAH’s leadership and candidates.

“Your confidence strengthens our resolve to serve Sabah with integrity and purpose,” he added.

Looking ahead, Dr Jeffrey emphasised STARSABAH’s commitment to working constructively with the Chief Minister and contributing to the government’s efforts to ensure development, stability and sustained progress for the state.

“Sabah deserves a government that works together, especially on matters concerning constitutional rights and long-term sovereignty,” he said.

Reaffirming a core pillar of the party’s struggle, Dr Jeffrey stressed the importance of securing Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement, noting that such negotiations can only be pursued on a government-to-government basis.

“It is crucial that Sabah has strong and principled voices involved in this process.

The pursuit of Sabah’s rightful entitlement has always been central to STARSABAH, and we stand ready to support any sincere and courageous effort to achieve this,” he said.
