Taman Bandukan Riverside Resort Selected as Venue for Kent Teaching College Alumni Reunion (1979–1985)

KENINGAU: Taman Bandukan Riverside Resort has been chosen as the venue for the Kent Teaching College, Tuaran, alumni reunion for the 1979–1985 cohorts, scheduled to take place on 26 September.
The decision was reached during an Executive Committee meeting chaired by Yazid Mohd Hasnan Tawik @ Charles in the resort’s meeting room yesterday.
Yazid said Taman Bandukan Riverside Resort was selected for its peaceful, attractive surroundings and a range of facilities suitable for reuniting alumni after many years apart.
He added that the location offers various attractions and amenities that will provide a meaningful experience for participants throughout the reunion.
“Taman Bandukan Riverside Resort has a variety of facilities and activities, such as a fishing park, touch-and-feel zoo, BBQ cookout, playground, garden walkways, a green nursery, souvenir shop, event space and a garden café."
“In addition, the area also provides an open hall, homestay accommodation and beautiful, tranquil flower gardens,” he said.
He said the reunion will not only serve as a meeting to reunite former classmates but also as a platform to strengthen ties and recall memories from their time at Kent Teaching College, Tuaran.
“We hope this event will reinforce friendships formed decades ago and bring alumni together again in a nostalgic atmosphere,” he said.
Yazid encouraged all former students from the 1979–1985 intake across the country to make time to attend the reunion with their partners and old friends to enliven the occasion.
Meanwhile, the participation fee has been set at RM100 per person. Payment methods and registration procedures will be announced soon by the secretary and treasurer.
All alumni of Kent Teaching College, Tuaran (1979–1985) are invited to join and make this historic reunion a success as part of reviving fond memories and the spirit of camaraderie among Kent alumni.
