UMS BAGS TWO AWARDS AT iSAS AWARDS

KOTA KINABALU: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) bagged two Innovation awards at 2020 the Sabah State Public Sector Innovation (iSAS) Awards Ceremony through the Finance and Education categories.

The UMS Treasurer Department through the Momentum group managed to attract the attention of the jury panel with their innovation which provides an online payment system which allowed them to be crowned as winners of the Federal Category.

For the Education category, UMS' STEM Warrior of the Science and Technology Preparatory Centre Centre highlighted its innovation related to fostering Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) among school students based on problem-based learning.

The awards in RM3,000 cash and trophies were presented to them during the ceremony held at the Sabah State Administrative Centre (PPNS) which was also broadcast live online through the Sabah Government Official YouTube channel and Zoom application.

The inauguration ceremony was officiated by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor. Also present were State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong, Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Samsuni Nor, and Public Service Department Director General Datuk Rosmadi Sulai.
