PENAMPANG: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) will be holding its Harvest Festival Celebration on May 11 and 12, two days filled with exciting activities.


UPKO will present its highly anticipated Harvest Festival, set to take place in the enchanting town of Kuala Penyu. This vibrant event, managed by UPKO Beaufort, promises a plethora of captivating activities for all attendees.


Today, after an UPKO executive meeting, UPKO President Datuk Ewon Benedick unveiled the festival's lineup, which includes cherished traditions such as the Harvest Beauty contest aptly called Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan, the thrilling singing competition called Sugandoi, and various captivating cultural shows, among many others.


Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a delightful array of traditional food, showcased from various UPKO zones, each representing unique cultural norms and traditional music from all corners of Sabah.


In addition to the captivating performances and delectable culinary delights, the festival will also feature a lively carnival.


This carnival will showcase various cooperatives and entrepreneurs, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing an excellent platform for local businesses to shine.


Revelers are expected to be enthralled as the UPKO Harvest Festival celebrates the bountiful harvest and rich cultural heritage of Sabah and Malaysia as a whole.
