KUALA LUMPUR: Reflecting the evolving needs of Malaysia’s modern workforce, VSure Group and virtual healthcare provider HEYDOC Health have jointly unveiled the CareConnect Suite, a pioneering digital ecosystem designed to bridge longstanding gaps in employee benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
At the heart of the CareConnect Suite are two innovative solutions: EzPA — VSure’s affordable and accessible personal accident protection combined with hospital income benefits — and FutureK, HEYDOC Health’s digitally integrated outpatient care platform.
This new suite forms part of VSure’s broader initiative, VSure SME Pro, which aims to enhance protection and financial resilience for small businesses through simple, affordable digital solutions. VSure SME Pro was developed following VSure's recognition as Malaysia’s winner of the UNDP–Generali Insurance Innovation Challenge 2024, a testament to the company’s innovative approach to supporting SMEs.
The collaboration unites two rapidly growing players from Malaysia’s insurtech and healthtech sectors. Their combined offering provides personal accident coverage, hospital income replacement, virtual doctor consultations, digital pharmacy services, and nationwide medication fulfilment — all seamlessly delivered via a single, connected platform.
While employee benefit programmes have traditionally been dominated by large insurers and corporate medical providers, both companies recognise that SMEs — which comprise over 97% of Malaysian businesses — have largely been excluded from these benefits.
Rising healthcare costs, talent retention challenges, and the increasing prevalence of freelance and gig work have prompted SMEs to reassess how they support their staff. However, many smaller firms lack the resources to offer traditional medical benefits, which often involve high premiums, restrictive underwriting, and administrative complexities.
VSure and HEYDOC Health state that CareConnect Suite is designed to fill this gap with a practical, cost-effective solution. This includes a subscription model of RM20 per employee per month, offering unlimited virtual healthcare consultations, integrated protection and medication services, and paperless onboarding.
"Most of Malaysia’s workforce is employed by SMEs, yet their access to traditional employee benefits has not kept pace," said Eddy Wong, Co-Founder & CEO of VSure Group. "CareConnect Suite offers SMEs a realistic way forward — affordable, straightforward, and genuinely effective for their teams."
Beyond employer benefits, freelancers, gig workers, individuals, and families can subscribe directly to the ecosystem, aligning with global trends towards personalised, digital-first healthcare.
What sets CareConnect Suite apart from typical insurer–telehealth collaborations is its deep integration. Users can consult a doctor, receive an e-prescription, confirm medication fulfilment, and activate protection benefits, all within a single platform, without switching interfaces.
For HEYDOC Health, which operates the hybrid FutureK care model, this partnership provides a scalable channel to deliver affordable outpatient care.
"This collaboration combines digital-first insurance, hybrid outpatient care, and medication optimisation in a transparent, cost-efficient manner," said Dr Raymond Choy, CEO of HEYDOC Health. "It advances us towards a healthcare environment that is inclusive, preventive, and sustainable. We look forward to expanding this partnership to reach more communities across Malaysia and beyond."
Industry analysts highlight that Malaysia has experienced rapid growth in telehealth and digital protection solutions, driven by pandemic adoption and rising demand for on-demand services.
CareConnect Suite is among the few offerings that uniquely combine protection, outpatient care, medication logistics, and digital onboarding into an SME-friendly, integrated package.
Both companies see strong potential for regional expansion, especially in markets where SMEs form the backbone of the economy and digital healthcare adoption is accelerating.
