What is there to congratulate about?

It has been announced that YB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri is going to be the 9th Prime Minister of Malaysia. We can see the jubilation of his fellow BN and PN supporters throughout the country. What is there for them to celebrate about? The fact that we continue to be a laughing stock at the global arena?
The country is still besieged by the threat of Covid-19 and the numbers of daily infections and deaths are at a record high even after all the lockdowns and the declaration of emergency that the government had advised the King to proclaim.
Amongst all the congratulatory messages was the hope for a ‘better’ Malaysia with the formation of this new government. How can it be better when it’s the same people from the same government that you want to better?
Let there be no mistake that the instability that the country is experiencing was caused by the internal squabbles for the premiership by the PN government themselves specifically between PPBM and UMNO.
Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin attribute his fall from grace to the Kleptocrats by appearing on national TV vowing that he would never betrayed his principles and work with them. With the reported support of 114 of MPs, clearly the kleptocrats had been embraced and that their support had once again saved the same PN government.
The country was drag to uncertainties for months and was on the brink of a constitutional crisis because of the chaos created and the lust for power between the leaders of the PN government.
Even the Palace was not spared and was dragged in the messy handling of the so called ‘revocation’ of the emergency ordinances. We have seen and read the disrespectful statements coming from PN leaders asserting that the Yang diPertuan Agong must adhere to the advice of the PN government in revoking the emergency Ordinances. However, in the true fashion of making another u-turn, the PN government conceded and admitted that there was no actual revocation of the emergency ordinances by the YDPA.
The PN government had even attempted to try shifting the blame to the opposition that their desire to return to power had created this instability, conveniently ignoring the fact that Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin government collapsed because some of their partners in UMNO had withdrawn the support towards him and his PN government.
The role of the opposition as a check and balance against the continuous blunders by the PN government should never be attributed to the cause of the chaos that our country is experiencing.
Yet they celebrate and congratulate each other for almost managing to turn this country into the brink of collapse and in the end salvaging their position by making deals amongst themselves ensuring that the seat of power is returned to them.
They are a disgrace to our country on how they have abused and manipulated the democratic process by hiding behind our sacred Federal Constitution.
But above all, their action is a great dishonour to the sacrifice of our frontliners and to those who have lost their lives in this pandemic. The Rakyat too are flabbergasted and frustrated that these power-hungry politicians could not care less about them and despite mishandling the the Covid-19 pandemic with frequent SOP U-turns and policies flip-flop, leading to the deterioration of the pandemic of this country, their only focus is who gets to snatch the top post.
Today, Malaysia hit another record with 23,564 daily infections, and everyday we see an increase in cases, we shall remember the person behind the ever confusing SOPs, is going to helm the country top post.
So, for those PN, GPS, PBS, BN and independent leaders and supporters who are celebrating and congratulating themselves, I say shame on you all. The Rakyat will not forget.
