Wong Pledges Strong Economic, Infrastructure and Housing Agenda for Inanam

KOTA KINABALU: United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) candidate for N18 Inanam, Datuk Wong Thien Fook, has outlined a series of key commitments aimed at driving economic growth, improving infrastructure and traffic management, and expanding access to affordable housing in the constituency.

Wong said that if elected, he would work through UPKO’s platform to push for more dynamic and sustainable economic development in Inanam.

“UPKO will drive more dynamic economic growth through strategic investments, the development of new industries, and greater support for local entrepreneurs. This is essential to creating quality jobs and business opportunities that can uplift the community,” he said.

On infrastructure, Wong emphasised that Inanam urgently needs modern and efficient facilities to keep pace with its growing population.

“UPKO is committed to upgrading basic infrastructure and introducing a more efficient traffic management system, so that the people’s daily movement becomes smoother, safer and better organised,” he said.

He also pledged to champion greater access to affordable housing, noting that many families in Inanam continue to face difficulties in securing a home of their own.

“UPKO will ensure more housing opportunities through government initiatives, including reasonably priced affordable homes with transparent access. Every family deserves the chance to own a home without being financially burdened,” he said.

Wong added that his campaign will focus on practical, community-first solutions to ensure Inanam develops in a balanced, inclusive and sustainable manner.
