KUALA LUMPUR: International wellness technology brand Amezcua is commemorating its 20th anniversary with the global launch of the GX-1 Bio-Reset System, a non-powered grounding mat designed for incorporation into everyday wellness routines.

The Kuala Lumpur launch marks the initial phase of Amezcua’s 2026 expansion across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa—regions experiencing rapid growth in consumer-driven, lifestyle-focused wellbeing adoption.

Malaysia’s wellness economy has been valued at approximately USD 31.8 billion, reflecting sustained consumer interest in lifestyle-oriented wellbeing solutions, according to the Global Wellness Institute, 2024.

Designed for daily use at home or at work, the GX-1 requires no electricity, charging, batteries, or powered connection. As a non-powered mat, it does not generate electrical current or emit signals. The system features a conductive connection wire linking the main mat to a secondary floor contact pad. Its portable design aims to support rest, recovery, and overall wellbeing as part of broader lifestyle practices.

Amezcua is a wellness technology brand under QNET, a company specialising in wellness and lifestyle products through direct sales. This latest launch underscores the organisation’s ongoing commitment to accessible, nature-inspired wellness solutions.

"Over the past two decades, we have observed a global shift from reactive healthcare to proactive wellbeing," said Matthias Mildenborn, CEO of QNET. "The GX-1 embodies this transition by providing a simple, non-powered solution that integrates seamlessly into modern lifestyles without digital dependency."

Grounding, also known as "earthing," remains a popular wellness practice worldwide. The GX-1 was developed under the guidance of the Amezcua Scientific Advisory Board, which includes energy science and integrative health experts such as Professor Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, whose research has explored bioelectrical and environmental interactions (Korotkov, K.G., academic publications, Bio-Well research).

Amezcua emphasises responsible communication within the evolving wellness industry, positioning the GX-1 as a lifestyle wellness product rather than a medical device.

Elena Khoo, QNET’s Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the importance of transparency. "As consumer literacy grows, it’s vital to communicate clearly that grounding is a complementary lifestyle practice, not medical treatment. Transparency fosters long-term trust."

Constructed from an electroconductive polyurethane (PU) upper layer and Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer (TPE) foam for the base, the GX-1 has been independently tested by Bureau Veritas to confirm compliance with the European Union’s REACH chemical safety regulations, with no Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) detected. The materials are hypoallergenic and safe for prolonged skin contact. Manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system, the product is positioned as a general wellness mat, not a medical device.

Available as a set of two, comprising a large and a small mat, the large mat is versatile, suitable for placement on beds, chairs, sofas, or use as a yoga mat. The small portable mat is ideal for travel or desk use, fitting at the feet or under the thighs. The two mats can be connected to create an extended grounding surface.

The GX-1 is available through the official QNET e-store and via authorised Independent Distributors in participating markets.

As Amezcua expands into new regions throughout 2026, the GX-1 launch underscores the brand’s ongoing dedication to nature-inspired wellness technologies tailored for contemporary lifestyles.
