KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government has allowed cinemas in the state to reopen starting tomorrow (Sept 18).
Sabah’s COVID-19 spokesperson, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, said that the go-ahead was in line with the Federal government's decision to allow the operation of the premises.
However, he said audience attendance will be limited to 50 per cent of the cinema capacity, with visitors and cinema’s employees needing to be fully vaccinated.
"These cinema activities are allowed to operate provided that employees and the public are fully vaccinated and with a capacity of 50 per cent of the cinema screening hall," he said.
