KOTA KINABALU: Sabah registered a new Covid-19 cluster today in Kota Kinabalu, known as the Industri Inanam cluster.

In a statement today, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the cluster has a cumulative total of 20 cases, including 11 new cases recorded today.

"The index case of the cluster was a plastic factory worker who tested positive through a screening test at Inanam Health Clinic on Feb 27 after exhibiting symptoms.

"A total of 139 close contacts were screened and 20 of them were found to have contracted the virus, including 11 new cases recorded today," he said.

According to Masidi, all of the close contacts have been instructed to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine.
