KOTA KINABALU: E-hailing and taxi drivers, as well as food delivery riders, will be allowed to cross covering Kota Kinabalu, Putatan and Penampang without permission letters from the police.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the allowance will take effect tomorrow (June 23).

"Drivers registered under e-hailing and food delivery riders can cross districts subject to compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 to meet the needs of the people.

"The permitted operating hours are from 6am to 8pm every day with a capacity limit of one passenger, and two passengers for medical and emergency purposes only," he said in a statement today.
