EMCO IN KAMPUNG BARU BATU 2, JALAN APAS IN TAWAU STARTING JULY 7

KOTA KINABALU: Kampung Baru Batu 2, Jalan Apas in Tawau will be placed under a 14-day enhanced movement control order (EMCO) starting this Friday (July 7).
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the locality in Tawau has a total of nine cumulative cases.
"A total of nine Covid-19 cases were recorded in Kampung Baru Batu 2, Jalan Apas after 14 individuals screened,” he said in a statement today.
Masidi added the decision to impose EMCO on these localities was made in order to restrict the public movement so that the virus will not spread to other communities.
