KOTA BELUD: Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick has visited the new hall in Kg Tamalang Taginambur where he then had a badminton session with the youths in the village.

The building of the hall was made possible thanks to his commitment and efforts to provide facilities to the villagers previously.

“This hall was built last year and can now be used for a variety of community activities.

"I hope this will benefit the villagers in carrying out sports activities such as badminton and other community activities," he said after the inspection on Wednesday.

The former Sabah Rural Development Minister also presented donations under the “Sentuhan Kasih ADUN” programme to the Hall Management Committee of the village to buy chairs and tables in the hall. He also contributed to the Badminton Shuttlecock Fund for badminton players in the hall.

Apart from that, Ewon also agreed to provide allocation to repair part of the road leading to the hall.

"The concrete road at the entrance to this hall has been built with the allocation that I channelled last year. However, there are still parts of the road that are not asphalted which can cause small cars to get stuck.

“The repair works will be carried out with the collaboration of the residents here,” he added.
