Mega Madani Sales achieve target, recording over RM5.7 million in sales and business matching

KUALA LUMPUR: The Mega Madani Sales held in conjunction with the Malaysia Madani Government Year program for three days at Bukit Jalil has successfully achieved a total sales and business matching exceeding RM5.7 million.


Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Ewon Benedick said that out of that amount, the total sales collection over the three days amounted to RM1,589,513.28, while the potential Business Matching (Padaniaga) amounted to RM4,150,000.


"On the first day, the Madani Entrepreneur Sales, Aneka Rasa Sales, Mega Madani Sales, and Food Truck Sales recorded a total sales of RM385,161.01, followed by RM572,702.36 on the second day, and RM631,649.91 on the third day.


"As for the Business Matching, it amounted to RM1,460,000 on the first day, RM1,290,000 on the second day, and RM1,400,000 on the third day.


"I am delighted and satisfied because based on the sales and business matching records over the three days, we have successfully achieved our initial target of RM100,000 for the seven sales clusters and RM3 million for Padaniaga," he said in a statement here today.


Ewon said that several segments of the mega sales were implemented, including Rahmah Sales, Madani Cooperative Sales, Agro Madani Sales, MyGrocer@Wilayah Sales, Entrepreneur Sales, Anekarasa Madani Sales, Food Truck Sales, and Business Matching.


The MADANI One-Year Programme in collaboration with the Government also offers various daily necessities with discounts of up to 30 percent off the market price," he said.


He further mentioned that a total of 183 entrepreneurs participated in the Madani Entrepreneur Sales, selling a variety of goods including agricultural and food products, sewing and handicrafts, herbs and health products, tourism and hospitality, and many more.


"For the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDC), in addition to the participation of entrepreneurs, we have also set up information counters to facilitate visitors in dealing with their businesses.


"These include SME Status registration, Entrepreneurship Consultation, Entrepreneur's Trivia, Tekun Nasional Application Check Counter, One District One Industry (SDSI) Product Exhibition, MyMall Entrepreneur Registration, and lucky draws.


"As for the Protégé counter, open interview sessions with selected companies were conducted, with over 700 people attending the interview sessions over the course of three days," he said.
