NEW MUHIBBAH MENGGATAL CLUSTER INVOLVES THREE DISTRICTS

KOTA KINABALU: A new cluster in Sabah which involves three districts has today, known as the Muhibbah Menggatal cluster.


In a statement today, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the Muhibbah cluster involved infection among communities in Kota Kinabalu and has spread to Tuaran and Penampang.


The index case is a 49-year-old man who works as a driver and has shown Covid-19 symptoms on June 20.


"Following the case, 40 positive cases were detected including six new cases today bringing the cumulative total of 41 cases.


"Early investigation found out that, the infection probably has spread to other localities and to village communities" he added.


Close contact and targeted screening are still actively being conducted to all localities involved.
