KOTA BELUD: The Rural Market, known locally as Tamu Desa at Kampung Pinolobuh, here is a vibrant weekly gathering that takes place every Monday.

This bustling marketplace serves as a dynamic hub of activity, featuring approximately 60 vendors who showcase a diverse array of goods.

Shoppers can find an enticing selection of pre-cooked meals, traditional snacks, fresh vegetables, essential household items, and even fruit seedlings, among many others.

The atmosphere is lively and exuberant, with the sounds of cheerful bargaining and animated conversations creating a festive ambiance that draws both locals and visitors alike.

The Tamu Desa Kampung Pinolobuh is not just a market; it is a celebration of community, culture, and commerce, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic rural experience.

The establishment of the Tamu Desa is made possible with the initiative and support of the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative (MEDC) Datuk Ewon Benedick, who is also the Kadamaian State Assemblyman.

The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Chairman of Kg Pinolobuh Jalni Mison said, "We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Datuk Ewon for his unwavering support in establishing various facilities in our village. His efforts have significantly benefited both the vendors and the local community, as well as the Tamu customers."

Speaking about the Tamu Desa building, he noted that construction, funded with an allocation of RM200,000 commenced in September of this year and was completed in early October.

The building measures 40 feet by 60 feet and accommodates 60 vendors, who set up tables to display and sell their offerings primarily to fellow villagers, residents from nearby areas, and tourists.

Previously, the tamu was not held at this location; however, it was relocated there due to the area being deemed more conducive for such activities.

Situated on an acre of land, the building has ample space for future expansion if necessary. Additionally, it is large enough to host various social activities.

This includes health programmes, blood donation drives and weddings among others.

Kampung Pinolobuh is also home to the Marangoi Eco-tourism site, a renowned destination in the region that allows guests to immerse themselves in the area's natural beauty fully.

Local villagers actively participate in tourism initiatives, providing experiences that blend adventure, nature, and cultural immersion. Visitors can enjoy activities such as jungle trekking and waterfall excursions and gain valuable insights into the local way of life.

Jalni expressed his hopes for achieving the 2030 vision, which includes establishing diverse facilities for village use through support from various government agencies.

He emphasized that the commitment demonstrated by village residents is crucial in ensuring that all government policies align with the village's vision.
