KUALA LUMPUR: Two programmes will be held by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative (KUSKOP) in Sabah on Dec 24 and 25.

The first programme is the Penampang Parliamentary Entrepreneur and Cooperative Cohesive Community Programme on Dec 24.

Meanwhile, the "Ramah Mesra" session programme, in conjunction with the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick’s Christmas celebration, will be held at the Penampang Cultural Center on Dec 25.

For the programme on Dec 24, there will be various events including KUSKOP and agency booth exhibitions, entrepreneur trade and fair price sales.

Besides exhibitions, a pocket talk session will also be held with Tekun Nasional, the National Institute of Entrepreneurship (INSKEN), the cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM), Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) and SME Corp Malaysia.

Both programmes start at 8am and will be officiated by Ewon.

Ewon said, this is the first time for KUSKOP to organise both programmes in Sabah with the aim to bring agencies and ministries closer to the Sabahan's people.

Apart from that, he said, it is also symbolic to express the government's commitment to the development of entrepreneurs and cooperatives at the federal level as well as at the regional level of Sabah and Sarawak.

"I hope such programmes will be a good start towards realising the government's agenda in strengthening the economy through entrepreneurship and cooperatives.

"This is also the best platform to give exposure to entrepreneurs and cooperatives in Sabah regarding the direction in further strengthening their business," he said in a media statement today.

Ewon who is also Penampang MP welcomed the public, especially the Penampang people, to come and attend both programmes.
