Undi 18 gazetted, to be implemented Dec 15

KUALA LUMPUR: The government has gazette Undi 18 and automatic voter registration which will take effect starting Dec 15.

Co-Founder of Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) Lim Wei Jiet revealed this on his Twitter posting today.

He also attached a screenshot of the federal gazette on his posting and described it as a “victory to democracy and the youths in having a say in the destiny of the country.”

It was stated in the gazette that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has appointed the date for the implementation.

On Nov 25, it was reported that the government will be implementing the Undi 18 automatic voter registration before Dec 30.
