United Malaysia to hold 4th BGM

KOTA KINABALU: United Malaysia, the nation’s official Manchester United supporters club, will be organising its 4th Biennial General Meeting (BGM) at the Kimanis Ballroom, Hyatt Regency Hotel here on June 30.

Its secretary Lindsay Michael said the BGM, scheduled to start at 7 pm, will also see the election for the office bearers for the year 2022-2024.

She also urged all members to attend the meeting.

Founded by the late Lawrence How, what was once a small football supporters club, United Malaysia has blossomed into a huge organisation with members nationwide.

It was originally a Peninsula-based club until it was taken over four years ago (2015).

Since 2011, the club has helped realise the dreams of more than 400 local Manchester United fans to watch their favourite team play at Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium, also known as the Theatre of Dreams.
