KOTA BELUD: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) of Kota Belud is fully prepared for the upcoming Sabah state election (PRN) to ensure the retention of the Kadamaian State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat.
Carlye Lajimin, the Director of the Kadamaian State Election Machinery, stated that despite UPKO's stronghold in the area, efforts to connect with the grassroots are being further strengthened.
"After the previous Sabah PRN, we have initiated various community programmes, economic improvements, and conducted field visits in the Kadamaian area to assist those in need," he said.
Carlye mentioned that UPKO Kota Belud currently has 110 branches with approximately 8,000 members.
"In addition to actively organising field visits to engage with the people, we will continue to multiply our efforts to increase membership and further strengthen the party," he said.
Carlye expressed, "We are not concerned about any challengers in the upcoming PRN and welcome any party willing to cooperate with the Kadamaian State Assembly constituency."
