PENAMPANG: The ongoing dry spell has affected residents in areas where they still rely on gravity-fed water systems.

One such village is Kg. Timpango Sugud, which has been impacted by low water levels at the water source, leading to challenges in water supply to households.

In response to this, Carl Mosoom, the Political Secretary to the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Ewon Benedick, represented the Minister during a visit to the area.

He distributed several boxes of drinking water to the residents.

The distribution provided assistance to 22 households in dire need of help.

"We were informed that they had also received similar contributions from other sources, but it was not sufficient," Carl stated.

A casual session was also conducted at the host's request to provide further information on entrepreneurial support and key features of the Main Database (PADU).

After an hour of discussion, everyone agreed to register before the end of this month.

Accompanying the delegation were stalwarts from United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) including District Voting Chief Michael Sipajon, Special Duty Officer Dominic Billy Joe representing the Deputy Division Head, and the Youth Chief of Penampang.
