KOTA KINABALU : A total of 54 female students from Ma’had Tahfiz Miftahul Ulum in Tanjung Aru received donations consisting of essential dormitory supplies, as a show of support for their welfare and education.
The donations were presented by SGMedia Group in collaboration with the Assistant Minister of Public Works Sabah, who is also the Deputy President of the Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR Sabah), Datuk Robert Tawik, during a brief ceremony.
“Caring for them is not a choice, but a responsibility that comes from the heart,” said Robert.
This initiative aims to ease the operational burden on the tahfiz centre while creating a more comfortable environment for the students to focus on their studies and boarding life.
Ma’had Tahfiz Miftahul Ulum, which has long been established in Tanjung Aru, is one of the key institutions producing hafiz and hafiza. It not only upholds the value of religious knowledge in Sabah, but also contributes to the spiritual development of the community.
Also present at the event were SGMedia Group Manager Awangku Sidik and Chairman of the SK Sembulan Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), Salleh Dualin, both of whom expressed their support for ongoing collaboration between the government, NGOs, and Islamic educational institutions.
“These tahfiz children are the ummah’s greatest asset. We help not because they ask for it, but because we know they are memorising the Words of Allah, the most honourable provision for the future,” Robert added.
