KUALA LUMPUR: Bossjob, Southeast Asia’s innovative chat-based AI job platform, has today announced its official launch in Malaysia, offering job seekers and employers a faster, smarter, and more human-centric way to connect. The new platform aims to revolutionise how Malaysians find work, particularly among Gen Z and gig economy workers.
Malaysia is currently experiencing a digital transformation, driven by a mobile-first, youth-dominated population. As demand for flexible, blue-collar, and entry-level roles grows, Bossjob steps in with a bold promise: faster hiring, AI-powered matchmaking, and instant communication right from the smartphone.
This isn’t just a pilot project, it’s a proven model. Bossjob has already assisted over 100 million jobseekers worldwide, with local operations focused on the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Japan. Since 2023, the platform has seen a 500% increase in monthly active users in the Philippines alone, becoming the country’s most downloaded chat-first job app. Over 10 million messages have been exchanged between jobseekers and employers, with an average response time of under 10 minutes. Most users complete their applications in less than 90 seconds.
The AI-matching engine delivers relevant roles in real time with 83% of jobseekers receive a match within 24 hours, and 78% are hired within just seven days of chatting. That’s hiring in under a week, without the usual waiting.
AI-powered job matching algorithms assess applicant skills, preferences, and chat behaviour, providing relevant job suggestions instantly. Profile creation is simplified, no more juggling multiple CV formats. Users can apply with just one tap, streamlining the entire process.
“We are committed to making job searching more accessible and efficient for job seekers,” said Bernie Goh, Country Manager for Malaysia at Bossjob.
“Through this campaign, we aim to connect with job seekers on the go, reinforcing our dedication to simplifying the job search process and empowering candidates with quick, direct access to employers.”
“Bossjob helped us connect swiftly and meaningfully with Malaysia’s young talent during our Kuala Lumpur launch. Unlike traditional platforms, their chat-first approach allowed us to engage candidates instantly—speed made all the difference,” said Chevelle Tham, HR Manager and Hiring Lead at Hvala.
Bossjob’s mobile app and web platform are now available nationwide. Initially focusing on Kuala Lumpur and Johor, jobseekers in Malaysia can now instantly connect with employers across the F&B, logistics, retail, and office sectors.
“Bossjob isn’t just offering a new alternative for job searching in Malaysia, it’s equipping candidates with the tools and Generative AI technology to optimise their profiles,” Goh added.
“From fresh graduates to experienced professionals, we believe every jobseeker deserves not only fast access to opportunities but also the means to present their best self to potential employers.”
