Contribution Helps Prevent Kauran Riverbank Erosion

KENINGAU: A community effort was held to stabilise the riverbank in Kampung Kauran.

A contribution by Liawan State Assemblyman Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman to this initiative was

handed over by Liawan Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) administrative assistant, Linda Mausin, on his behalf.

On hand to receive the contribution was Saidi Basil, who represented the villagers, at the UPPM Liawan office.

The community initiative was aimed at preventing recurring riverbank erosion, which often happens when water levels rise during the rainy season, thereby reducing risks to nearby settlements.

Saidi, when met, expressed appreciation for Annuar’s attentiveness, describing him as a leader who consistently listens and responds swiftly to grassroots needs.

“His concern is not just in words, but through concrete actions that ensure our wellbeing,” he said.
